Samsung is holding an Unpacked event for the Galaxy Z range today. Here is how to watch it live.
How to watch Samsung Unpacked live
It is the big day: Samsung is staging its summer Unpacked presentation today, in what we hope will be a keynote full of surprises.
The event will take place in London. The Presse-citron team will be there to see the new products first-hand and share their initial impressions. You can watch the keynote live alongside us, as Samsung will stream it on its YouTube channel and through its official website. The presentation begins at 2pm UK time (3pm in France), providing plenty to follow on a summer afternoon.
What will Samsung announce at its Unpacked conference?
For several years, Samsung’s summer event has centred on the launch of its foldable smartphones, and 2026 is unlikely to be any different. The new Galaxy Z handsets are therefore expected to make their debut.
It has become standard practice for Samsung details to leak well before an official reveal. This year, those leaks suggest that the Korean company will unveil three smartphones rather than two. Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, a third device could appear: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. It is said to use a passport-style format, with a square outer display and a 16:9 screen inside. This approach would provide a fuller display better suited to consuming content. Its name remains uncertain, however. Rumours point to a Wide model simply called the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra would take over from the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Samsung has already started teasing it, in any case.
Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 rumours
The leaks do not stop there, as other products are also being mentioned. Samsung may introduce the Galaxy Watch 9, its new smartwatch. A Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 model could be unveiled as well. It would follow the first version released in 2024, presumably with a refreshed design and a broader feature set. Battery life will be the key point under scrutiny for these products.
It remains to be seen whether Samsung has further surprises in store. Even with the leaks, the conference should still interest fans, as Samsung is expected to explain how its products work and reveal their prices. With the RAM crisis driving costs sharply upwards, a dramatic price increase may be expected.
We will of course be following these announcements on Presse-citron, via the website, social media and our YouTube channel. Keep watching!
