The Walking Dead: Aftermath pre-registration opens

Ares Interactive has opened pre-registration for The Walking Dead: Aftermath, a mobile action game licensed by AMC and inspired by Vampire Survivors. Players will need to endure unending hordes of walkers, build up their own camp and upgrade their survivors.

AMC’s The Walking Dead characters and gameplay

The playable leads will be familiar figures from AMC’s The Walking Dead television series. Confirmed survivors include Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, Glenn and Maggie. Each character will have distinct weapons, abilities and a particular combat style.

The developers have also packed the game with familiar mobile mechanics and restrictions, including gacha monetisation and an energy system that will prevent players from playing as much as they would like.

The Walking Dead: Aftermath will be released on iOS and Android. The project is expected to launch on 18 June 2026.
