Samsung launches One UI 8.5 beta for Galaxy S23 with April security patch

Samsung has added the Galaxy S23 series to the One UI 8.5 beta testing programme. The update is already available in India for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. It may be rolled out to further markets soon, including South Korea, the UK and the US. The first beta build carries version number S911BXXU9ZZD5, is approximately 4.16 GB in size, and also includes the April 2026 security patch.

One UI 8.5 introduces noticeable changes straight after installation, with a refreshed interface and new features intended to make everyday smartphone use more convenient. Samsung has not yet revealed exactly which additions are included in this Galaxy S23 build.

It was previously reported when the final version of One UI 8.5 will be released for the Galaxy S25 series.
