Samsung begins One UI 8.5 beta testing for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6

Update now available in South Korea and India

Samsung has begun beta testing the latest One UI 8.5 firmware for its Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 foldable smartphones.

According to insider Tarun Vats, the update is already available to users in South Korea and India, with the programme expected to expand to further regions shortly. The beta version should soon reach the UK and US, markets that traditionally form the next wave of Samsung update releases.

If testing in South Korea and India proceeds without major issues, the stable One UI 8.5 release is expected in the coming weeks.

Tarun Vats previously accurately reported that the One UI 8.0 beta would arrive earlier than planned and revealed the release dates for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25.
